Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson IN, 3 Players OUT! India's Likely XI For Super 8 Match Against Bangladesh

India will take on Bangladesh in their second game of the T20 World Cup Super 8. India come into the game after a comprehensive 47-run win over Afghanistan.

A win over Bangladesh would almost seal a semifinal berth for the Men in Blue. The match will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua on June 22.

The Rohit Sharma-led side could make a few changes for the Bangladesh clash given the low performance of a few players. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have not been able to score runs and India have found wanting in the powerplay in most games so far. The move to play Kohli as an opener is not working and the team finally might push Virat down to No. 3. This will open a slot for Yashasvi Jaiswal in the team. Jaiswal could replace Ravindra Jadeja, who has looked very ordinary in the tournament so far. Jadeja has not lived up to the expectations for a while now and the team might finally let go of him.

Arshdeep Singh was expensive against Afghanistan and there could be a debate about playing Siraj ahead of the left-arm pacer. Shivam Dube’s lean run is also not helping the team as they are not getting the flourish they need. Against Afghanistan, Suryakumar Yadav bailed them out of trouble but India would want in-form players in the team. Sanju Samson had a great run in the IPL and if India have to give him a chance in the playing XI, the game against Bangladesh could be a great opportunity. Samson has experience of playing in these conditions and boasts of a decent record as well.

India’s likely squad for Bangladesh clash: Rohit Sharma (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah
