The Jammu and Kashmir government has dismissed a school teacher on charges of anti-national activities.
On Friday, the Jammu and Kashmir government dismissed a school teacher from service on being found involved in anti-national activities.
Manzoor Ahmad Laway, a person working as a teacher in the education department, was dismissed under Article 311 of the Indian Constitution.
The employee’s activities came under adverse scrutiny by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. They found him involved in activities detrimental to the interests of the state, such as being associated with terrorist-related activities, the Jammu and Kashmir government stated.
Officials said that prior to this, security forces conducted a raid on a terrorist hideout in the Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, seizing weapons and ammunition from the site.
After gathering information from credible sources about potential locations in the Logripora area, operations were initiated by the Sopore Police, Indian Army, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) battalions.
Officials said that militants have been using this location as a safe haven to store weapons and ammunition to carry out terrorist activities, leading to disturbances in the valley.
