Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the premises of three IITs today and lay the foundation for the permanent campuses of three IIITs.
To promote the education sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the campuses of three IIMs – Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Visakhapatnam on Tuesday and lay the foundation for several projects worth over 13,000 crore rupees.
The projects dedicated include the permanent campuses of IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, and IIT Dhanbad – Kancheepuram; the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) – a leading skill training institute on advanced technologies – in Kanpur; and two campuses of the Central Sanskrit University in Devprayag, Uttarakhand, and Agartala, Tripura.
In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, it has been said, “In a significant step towards the development and progress of education and skill-building foundational infrastructure across the country, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several projects worth approximately 13,375 crore rupees, dedicate them to the nation, and lay the foundation for many projects.”
They will also inaugurate 20 new buildings for Central Schools (KVs) and 13 new buildings for Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) across the country. Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation for five KV campuses, one NV campus, and five multipurpose halls for NVs. This has been integrated across the entire country.
PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for campuses and buildings in a public event at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.
