Shah stated in the interview that the stock market has witnessed significant declines in the past, but has always recovered. He also mentioned that there is no direct correlation between the current market downturn and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Acknowledging the apprehensions among investors, he dismissed rumors affecting market sentiment and even suggested considering buying stocks before the election results on June 4, expressing optimism for potential rallies in the market performance for both. He also expressed confidence in BJP’s prospects in the market and election results.

The Indian stock market ended the day on a positive note on Monday. BSE Sensex rose by 111.66 points or 0.15 percent to close at 72,776.13, while Nifty gained 48.85 points or 0.22 percent to close at 22,104.05.
Moreover, Nifty Bank rose by 333 points or 0.70 per cent to settle at 47,754.10.
In the Sensex pack, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, HDFC Bank, TCS, and Axis Bank were among the major gainers, while Tata Motors, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Titan, and SBI were the major losers.
Voter’s Turnout
Compared to the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, the voter turnout in the initial phases of the current Lok Sabha elections has been lower. According to the Election Commission’s report, the voter turnout was 66.14 percent in the first phase, 66.71 percent in the second phase, and 65.68 percent in the third phase.
Today, on May 13, voting has begun for the fourth phase on 96 Lok Sabha seats across 10 states and union territories.
