A former cricketer arrested in check bouncing case.

On Wednesday, Nagpur city police issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against former cricketer Prashant Vaidya in a check bouncing case.

A police officer said that Vaidya, who played four international matches for India in the mid-1990s, was presented in court during that period and released on bail.

Bajaj Nagar Police Station Inspector Viththalsingh Rajput stated that he had allegedly purchased steel from a local trader, issued a check that bounced, and subsequently, the trader demanded a new payment.

The officer mentioned that since the cricketer allegedly refused to make the payment, the trader approached the court. To ensure the cricketer’s attendance in court proceedings, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him for not participating in the court hearing.

Vaidya currently serves as the head of the Cricket Development Committee of the Vidarbha Cricket Association.
