The Starship completed its first successful flight on Thursday, marking its third attempt. It is being hailed as the world’s most powerful rocket.
Elon Musk’s company SpaceX has successfully completed the first flight of its new spacecraft, Starship. However, the most talked-about aspect is the photos of Earth captured by the Starship. The way Starship has captured Earth in the camera is unprecedented. SpaceX owner Elon Musk shared these photos from his social media handles, and SpaceX also posted these pictures on its social media handles.
SpaceX’s Starship has successfully completed its first flight in space, capturing stunning images of Earth that have captivated everyone’s attention. The photos are incredibly beautiful, showcasing Earth’s curvature, resembling super HD quality. Thursday’s successful flight marked its third attempt and is being hailed as the world’s most powerful rocket. However, upon returning, the Starship reportedly got lost somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Nonetheless, these images are going viral on the internet.
It is said that this footage was captured with high-definition (HD) cameras mounted on the Starship, revealing Earth’s curvature. It’s been mentioned that the Starship was traveling at a speed of 26,000 kilometers per hour during the photo-taking process. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson also congratulated SpaceX on this success. The Starship is 397 feet tall, which is 90 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty. Its first test was conducted in April 2023, but at that time, the Starship failed to separate its stages and was lost in the Gulf of Mexico.
Last year in November, its second test took place, but after showing some improvements, it ultimately ended in a blast above the ocean. SpaceX spends $9 billion to build one rocket of the Starship. Elon Musk says the Starship will witness multiplanetary journeys. NASA is preparing for a moon mission in 2026, while China is planning a similar mission in 2030. In such a scenario, SpaceX is showcasing the performance of its spacecraft.
