The new Ford Endeavour has been spotted in India ahead of its expected launch next year.
The new generation Ford Endeavour has been spotted in India amid speculations that Ford is planning a comeback for its popular SUV.
The Endeavour is sold as the Everest in some international markets like Thailand.
The car spotted in India also carries the same nameplate – Everest.
The car was brought for testing purposes, while Ford is actually bringing back the SUV, though it remains a mystery whether Ford will reintroduce it in SUV form or assemble it in CBUV form.
Is Ford Considering A Comeback In India?
Ford Endeavour and other products could initially be brought in the form of completely built units (CBU), as mentioned earlier, and later assembled in India. With the Fortuner, its fierce competitor, priced at over 50 lakhs, the Endeavour is expected to find buyers for its new generation, even if it comes in the form of a completely built unit (CBU).
The new generation Endeavour is well-equipped and looks more attractive with a premium design. Being spotted indicates its debut is not far away, and Ford might unveil it at the beginning of the next year.
Although it’s not just the Endeavour that has been spotted in India, the recent sighting of the Ford Ranger suggests that Ford might bring its Hilux competitor to India as well.
Ford Re-launch: The car manufacturer may reintroduce the imported Ranger Raptor, Endeavour, and Mustang Mach-E in India.
The Ranger Endeavour is a pickup version. If brought through the CBU route, the new Endeavour is expected to come with a significant premium, starting at an estimated price of 60 lakhs rupees.
There is a possibility of bringing a limited number of cars through the completely imported route for Ford to re-establish itself, followed by later entering the volume game with assembly operations.
